California Privacy Rights

As a California resident, you have certain rights regarding your personal information under California law. These rights include:

Shine the Light

Under the “Shine The Light” law (California Civil Code section 1798.83), you have the right to request and obtain, free of charge once a year, information about any personally identifiable information I may have disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year.

This includes a list of the categories of personal information shared and the names and addresses of the third parties. If you would like to make such a request, please contact me at [email protected].

Please note that not all information sharing is covered by the “Shine the Light” requirements, and David Keyes is only obligated to respond to one consumer request per calendar year.

Please refer to the website Privacy Policy for more information on how personal information is handled.

Do Not Track My Data

If you enable the “Do Not Track” privacy setting in your web browser, it signals websites, analytics companies, ad networks, plug-in providers, and other web services to stop tracking your activity. At this time, we do not respond to “Do Not Track” browser settings or signals.

California Consumer Privacy Act

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) (California Civil Code section 1798.100–1798.199), you have the following rights:

  1. Right to know your collected personal information: You can request information about the categories of personal information we collected about you in the past 12 months, the sources from which we collected the information, the business or commercial purpose for collecting it, the categories of third parties with whom I shared the information, and the specific pieces of personal information I have collected about you.

  2. Right to know your disclosed personal information: You can ask me to disclose whether I have shared your personal information with third parties for a business or commercial purpose in the prior 12 months, and if so, you can request a list of the categories of personal information that has been disclosed.

  3. Right to request deletion of personal information: You have the right to request that I delete your personal information, subject to legal exception.

I will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights under the CCPA.

If you are a California resident and want to exercise any of these rights, you can do so by contacting me. Please note that I will need to verify your identity before processing your request.

Please be aware that California law allows me to respond to such requests from the same individual no more than twice in a 12-month period.

Once again, to reiterate my, David Keyes,’s commitment is to respect your privacy and by conducting my business by these principles. I will collect personal information by lawful and fair means, and only for the purposes specified by me or as required by law. I will protect your personal information using reasonable security safeguards, and will only retain it for as long as necessary to fulfill those purposes. Should you have any questions or concerns about our privacy policy, I will be readily available to provide information about my policies and practices relating to the management of personal information.
